Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s TIME. It’s time for us to GIVE BACK. Give back to those who are less fortunate than us.

For the past few months, we have all been blessed enough to acquire some awesome deals at our local Walgreens store. Shampoo, soap, razors, deodorant and many food items - we all got great deals on these items (most for FREE!).

Just this evening, I myself saw the extent of all the items I have collected from couponing:

And these are only the items I was able to put away in shoe boxes! Looking at my stash, I realized that I could be giving MORE to the local Shelter or Church. Much, much more.

It just happens, that after I organized all my items, I saw this Tweet from Ginger (of Attention Target Shoppers fame), which then lead me to her fantastic post and then to Mom Advice’s Big Give initiative. It was a pleasant chain of reaction! Please visit both links and read more about this fantastic drive to donate some of the items that you have been blessed with this year.

Therefore, I urge all of From Wags to Riches Readers, to GIVE BACK. I hope you all participate - I am certain it will make you feel good to GIVE BACK.

This week, I would like to thank my local Walgreens for selling us Pic Fly Ribbon:

We used this gem of a product (one that I have never used or even seen before) in our home and it got rid of the tiny little flies that somehow multiplied in our home (my husband said they were fruit flies). It cost us a mere $1.99 for 4 rolls and so far we’ve only used one. But one is all we needed to get rid of our flies. Now we’re fly FREE! Thanks, Wags!

I mentioned last week that my husband and I don’t really go out of our way to stockpile anything in particular. It’s the truth. But I guess this photo of our boxes upon boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios says otherwise:

And it’s all THANKS TO WALGREENS! A few months back now they had an awesome cereal deal which included Honey Nut Cheerios. Well, we sure took advantage of that deal using the Cheerios Challenge coupons we got online. I think each box cost us $1 or 50c, can’t recall - and that’s a GREAT DEAL in my opinion for a box of yummy Cheerios!

Needless to say, I have Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast almost everyday. Good thing I love this stuff and have no qualms about eating it for the next six months or so

For this week’s Tuesday Thanks to Walgreens, I would like to show my appreciation towards my favorite cashiers (and I have a few of them):

Devin - he was the first cashier that really got us to warm up to one store over another. He made our trips pleasant, always greeted us with “Did you find everything alright today?” and bade us goodbye with a “Have a good night” and we never fail to wish him a good evening too. There’s even been times when we try to go when he’s working or sometimes, I would get out of line or stall so that I make sure we get him. He’s top notch!

Sarah - she’s our favorite female cashier. Very pleasant, helpful and when she sees we have a lot to buy, she makes us call her over at the Beauty Counter - so we can check out there instead. She once helped me get ideas on how what to get for a $10/$40 coupon when all the items I wanted were OUT OF STOCK. She’s always cheer and smiley too - and that always helps.

Austin - he’s our new favorite. He is probably around 16-17 years old and the new addition to our favorite store. You know he hasn’t been working at Walgreens long enough because whenever we use  coupons and he sees our OOP, he always congratulates/gets excited about how well we used the coupons! We also joke around with him - he once offered us a bar of Hershey’s and told us he gets a 5c commission out of it Oh, and he reminds me of my little brother.

As you can see, we have formed a bit of a relationship with our favorite store and we love it!
