It’s a rather Late Edition of The Best of the Rest. Life got in the way…Hopefully the wait is worth it for tonight’s Top 10:
- I liked reading Kelly of Almost Frugal’s “Twenty-Five More Frugal Things I Do” (make sure you read her first 25 too). I think we should all make a list! (Hmmm…Giveaway Idea right there!)
- It’s getting cold and I’m coveting this adorable Fabric Scarf Holder that Apartment Therapy brought to my attention. You know you want one too!
- I don’t follow baseball (give me a break, I’m still trying to figure out Grid Iron rules!) but Coupon Cravings broke the fact that this coming Tuesday (October 28th), Taco Bell will provide us with a FREE Beef Taco. Thanks to a “stolen base”. Yay!
- Make a Holographic Will - The Simple Dollar writes how, so read it!
- Got a couch just taking space in your garage? Why not sell it on Craigslist? Apartment Therapy shows you how.
- What a fun recipe for Halloween: Marshmallow Skeleton Bones with Wicked Hot Cocoa from Peanut Butter & Julie.
- How adorable is this Family Tree from fawn&forest? Very, if you ask me!
- I have nothing but L-O-V-E for Etsy. If you do too and want to open your own shop, then read Every Little Thing’s “My Top Ten Things for Selling on Etsy“.
- Wanna try to make your own Oreos? Then why not try Chocolate Byte’s Oreo recipe? Let me know how it goes if you try it.
- To coincide with this Top 10, check out this “Top 10 Exotic Fruits” from HotelClub Travel Blog. Have you tried any of them for yourself? I love Fruit #1.
That’s it! I’m going to bed

Which blogs makes today’s Best of the Rest?
- I love wedding blogs even though I’m already married. I subscribed to about 101 when I got engaged in January of last year - and I still have some left on my reader. Get a load of this drool-worthy Bar Candy and these too-good-to-eat cakes here and here from Style Me Pretty.
- The Simple Dollar has got an excellent article on “Stop Wasting Money on Disposable Things”. Good read.
- Do you love cupcakes as much as I do? Then check out How to Eat A Cupcake’s Booo-tiful Halloween Cupcake Contest. And for some inspiration, check out Cupcakes Take the Cake’s 10 Halloween Cupcakes! My favorite are the Mummies

- If you have Twitter, then check out Kitty of Coupon Divas’ Save Money Using Twitter Video Tutorial. And to be sure add both coupondivas & wagstoriches to your Twitter friends
- Jessica from How About Orange shared Polyvore, an nifty little online gadget that allows you to “Mix and match images from anywhere on the web, to create outfits, interior designs, or any kind of collage”. It is made of AWESOME.
- Do you have some Target plastic bags just lying around the house? Then check out Coupon Cravings’ post on how you can send them to Target and get a FREE reusable bag in return. I love reusable bags and we always use it when we go grocery shopping (these type of bags have been used in Australia for many, many years so I’m a big fan). I think it’s time I start using them at Wags too!
- Another excellent money (and energy) saving article, this time from BeCentsAble: “How to Make Your Home Energy Efficient in 10 Easy Steps”.
- Two more articles that I found to be very informative were: Sisterly Savings’ Buying Grocery Coupons on eBay and Mommy Snacks’ Shopping with Coupons: Get some Coupons article.
- Food-wise, salivate over Mimi on the Move’s Mr. Mimi’s Chicken Paprikash. Yum, yum!
- And to finish off and to reward you for getting this far, check out the giveaway round-ups collated by My Precious Pennies and The “Cent”sible Sawyer! Good luck
Okay, back to Walgreens deals…
