Your online resource for Walgreens deals & other Frugal Finds

…the last day of the Walgreens EasySaver Catalog. And that’s TODAY!
From tomorrow, no more Instant Value Coupons or EasySaver Rebates
So why not give the ESC a last hurrah and head on over to your local Walgreens store and use an IVC
And if you find out any information about the new rebate system, please let us know!

Register Rewards – some customers LOVE them, while others…not so much. Where do you stand?
With the impending end of the EasySaver Catalog, there’s whispers here and there implying that one of the things Walgreens may do to replace the rebate program is to increase the number of Register Rewards deals they offer in-store.
What are your thoughts on this idea?
Personally, I’m on the fence with RR deals. I don’t mind doing them because I know I’ll always find something to use my RR towards. The only issue I have with them is when they don’t print and there’s the inconvenience of having to get them re-printed and the angst you get from cashiers who don’t like dealing with them.
My only objection with the increase of RR deals would be if Walgreens decides to LIMIT the number of RR deals we can do in a week. This will greatly limit customer’s ability to roll one RR onto another deal and thus decreasing our abilities to save. This would make RRs seem redundant.
What do you think? Would you shop less at Walgreens if RRs replace the Rebate Program or if limits are set on RR deals?
Don’t forget to grab the following 3 Free After Rebate items at your local store this week:

Sale Price for Printer Cartridge Refill is $7.50 and you’ll get that back after the mail-in rebate. You can choose from either a black or color refill and Walgreens can refill over 100 cartridge models. This is on sale this week (regularly $15 for color, $10 for black) so pick it up this week to get it FAR.

Buy a One A Day Multivitamin Drink Mix (2 packets) for $1.49 and get $1.49 back.

Final FAR item up for grabs this month is the Wal-itin Allergy Relief (30 ct tablets) for $6.99. You’ll get the full $6.99 back after the mail-in rebate. This is on sale this week (regularly $13.99) so grab it this week to get it FAR.
For the full details on these FAR items, make sure you consult the April EasySaver Catalog!

Here it is! Quite possibly the last EasySaver Catalog we will ever see…
Yes, you can now access the April EasySaver Catalog online! The coupons and rebates featured in the April catalog starts from today (March 29th) and ends April 25th.
Let’s hope that a word on what replaces the EasySaver Program will be announced before April 25th. I can only imagine the uproar from Walgreens devotees if nothing is put in its place. But in the meantime, just enjoy the April catalog.

April, my dear FWTR readers, is just around the corner. Can you believe it?
Now, we’ve already discussed that there was confirmation from Walgreens HQ that the EasySaver Catalog will be ending in April. Goodbye, Adios, Sayonara! So if you want to see the (possibly) LAST EasySaver catalog brought to you by Walgreens, go here to get your preview.
I added the word “possibly” above because IS IT REALLY ENDING? This post from HCW Member “Shadowchassy” makes me wonder if it’s really time to say bye-bye to the rebates, the IVCs and thus, the FREE stuff. Plus, some FWTR readers have left comments saying that their Managers aren’t even aware of the ESC ending when some of you have mentioned it to them. So maybe there’s hope yet for those who love doing the rebates?
What are your theories? What do you think is going to happen? Do you have inside information?

I dropped by my local Walgreens this afternoon and found a sea of ORANGE TAGS. What do the orange tags mean, you ask? Well, they’re CLEARANCED ITEMS!
Unfortunately I can’t recall everything that was on clearance – but I remember them to be almost at every aisle I walked through. The beauty aisle - orange, orange, orange. The make-up display, loads of orange tags. Shampoo, conditioner, razors, deodorants – orange clearance tags on them!!!
Unfortunately I didn’t walk pass the food items aisle – I wonder if any of them were on clearance? Has anyone been recently and noticed any great clearance items?
So if you’ve got some time to spare this weekend, why not bring your coupons with you (as in, ALL your coupons), have the EasySaver Catalog handy to keep in mind any IVCs you can stack with Manufacturer Coupons and you may just score some awesome deals for everyday items you use!
And be sure to come back here and tell us what you scored! Good luck and enjoy Wags-ing
P.S. I didn’t score anything because I don’t practice what I preach – didn’t have my coupon binder with me
Epic fail on my part
