G’day everyone!

This post is long overdue…but as you can understand I’ve been busy catching up with family, friends and my hometown in general. I’ve settled in well, despite zonking out at 7pm every night because my internal body clock is still in Missouri time. But this second week here should treat me better.

The other reason for my lack of posts is the fact that I didn’t bring my laptop over here, so I’ve had to rely on my little sister to lend me hers (which is does willingly). But finding the time to write posts sometimes is a bit of a struggle. I’ve taken a whole heap of photos - the locals must wonder why the hey I am taking photos of the front of stores

And on my second day here…I went to the local regional grocery store called Foodland and guess what they’ve implemented there? ELECTRONIC PRICE TAGS?!?! I’m not sure whether any American stores have this type of technology at their stores but this is definitely a NEW thing in Adelaide. Here’s a picture:

And YES, a 2 litre bottle of Diet Coke does retail for $2.49 around these parts - and that’s ON SALE too.

I’ll be sharing some other observations this week, but right now I have to get breakfast
