If you need some ideas on what to buy for today and tomorrow’s $5/$25 coupon, keep the following items in mind:

October FAR Items
Gazelle 2-in-1 Vacuum (if it’s Clearanced at $20 at your store, this is perfect)
Oral-B CrossAction Tootbrush (a lot of HCW members are including it, so it must still be running)
4 Single Dove Bar Soaps & get $3RR (check this thread @ HCW for proven info it works)
Dimetapp MoneyMaker after RRs (read this thread @ HCW on how people are working it)
Unilever Food Items - Buy $15 worth, Get $5RR back (Page 2 of this week’s ad)
Extra Rebate Items from September (Items Numbers 2, 3, 5 & 6 were added for this month again)
For filler items, why not pick something from the range of Halloween items on sale?!?!

BTW, even if you don’t have kids, still go for the dimetapp. I was going to not do it b/c my son is too little and it’ll all expire before he needs it, but there are dosing instructions for ‘children and adults ages 12 and up’ so grown ups can use it too!

I went to Nifong around noon yesterday and they were unloading, there was none on the shelf but I hoped they would get more in. I will be heading to broadway either tonight or early tomorrow to check things out. If they don’t have it I won’t be heartbroken, but I would like to pick some more up.

I, too, can verify that the Dove bar soap qualifies for the RR deal. I bought 4 bars at $1.19 per bar and got the $3 RR with no problem.

So I tried to go today, and I guess last week when I took a break from shopping I guess my brain did too. I was going to get all the Scrubbing Bubbles deals with the Right@Home coupons because last week my printer was out of ink, and it didn’t even dawn on me that last week everyone was doing this because they were on sale! Now you have to pay for the items! Liek the Automatic Shower Cleaner is regular price $24.99 so I would have to pay 4.99 for it! Arrh I was so mad at myself! Plus the Chemistry hair care is $9.99 now not $7.99 and that’s the rebate limit. Did anyone else run into this problem? Are they increasing the rebat limit to make it free now? I was also going to get the Gillette Manpoo but alas I forgot my coupons for it! My trip was a complete bust, I left with nothing, and I’m so mad at myself for being such a bing bong!

i treated myself to the nexxus, shampoo and conditioner, which total 27.98, $5 off, $10 on rebate, and the teller was so anxious for me to buy another toothbrush, that she deducted the RR twice, whcih i did not realize at the store, so i paid 3.98 for 27.98 of product, that will be a royal treat for me. Of course i deserve it, right!!!

If I was to do the food deal (ragu/skippy) with coupons, does the RR go based on precoupon total or after coupon total. I’m confused b/c mostly I do the buy 3 items get $2, but this is buy $15 get $5. hopefully someone knows what I mean:)

@Jana: Thanks for confirming the Dove. I might use those as extras if I can’t reach $25. I only use Dove these days.

@Ana M: Sorry you had a bad run at Wags today I know the Chemistry Hair Care is showing up as $9.99 online and that might well be the case at my actual store. So yeah, I guess they have increased it - which is a bummer. There’s no way in confirming whether Wags will credit you the whole $9.99 since it was a FAR item last month. No way to tell unless you call CS specifically.

@Amy: As long as your total is $15 worth of products BEFORE coupons, the RR should print. I did this Ragu/Skippy deal a few months back and used a bunch of coupons and my RR printed fine.

So if you buy 9 jars of Ragu or Skippy all together, that will be $15 BEFORE Q’s. So you’ve reached the required amount of the RR. Then use all the Q’s you have and the RR will print!

Hope this answers your question. Make sure you don’t leave the store if the RR doesn’t print and you know you bought $15 worth of qualifying items!

Patricia: I dunno, I might I was really counting on getting the Auto Shower Cleaner because I don’t think I can get to $25 otherwise. You think they might be nice and give me it for $19.99 even though I didn’t get the raincheck? I’m sure they knew they never had them in stock. The store I went to only had one today. What is with Walgreens not having any great deals this week and next? I feel like they are slowing down on the “free” stuff!

Hey Patricia.. I did confirm with my cashier before shopping & he said it was ok if i made a purchase of $25 before coupons. I did my deal today.
Purchased 2 bottles of pert
1 arm & hammer detergent,
2 bounty rolls,
1 six pack of ensure,
2 welch grapes juice,
1 small biotene mouthwash.
After all the coupons & $5 off i paid 12.74 incl tax. I will get 6.99 MIR from ensure & 1 MIR for the detergent.
$4.45 after all coupons & MIRs… Not bad right…

I know no one knows for sure if the added FAR items will be credited but my question is this: If the boxes aren’t even online to check, how would you even go about claiming them? Just curious, thanks!

Does anyone know if the Lypsyl rebate is only good for the Honey Berry kind or will it also work with the original. My store only had original in stock. At my Walgreens my total ended up being 24.99 after all coupons because I had a rain check for the Wisp Flameless candle and I wasn’t counting on them to take an extra $3 off for the RR and the register automatically voided off the $5 coupon because my total was under $25. Just something to watch for if you have a newer Walgreens. After some time though I was able to add a couple of things and I had to remove the Pert Plus b/c it was giving me .02 overage and I got my total to 25.01. Thankfully the cashier was patient!

@Ana M: I think if you ask the Manager, he/she might give it to you. Maybe come in with the Wags flyer from last week too if you have it handy. The Manager should be aware whether or not they had it in stock. Won’t hurt to ask. Both my stores definitely didn’t have any of the Shower Cleaner so that deal was a no go for me. Let us know how you go - sending you all the positive shopping vibes

@Tina: That’s lucky for you! I would love $4OOP! I’m pretty sure, based on the last transaction I did using this $5 Q, the registers at our store will not allow the $5 Q if it’s under the $25. We were under by cents and had to add a lollipop costing 99c to let it through last time. I guess different registers ring up differently?

@Dooneybug: Those checklists are only a guideline for us. I’ve heard that Wags CS don’t base which rebates they process based on that. I have, in occasion, not ticked anything at all and Wags picks up all my rebates without issue.

@Erin: Not sure. I know that for September it didn’t specifically say Honey Berry but it did for the brief time it was up for this month. I can’t say for sure. Hopefully someone will help you with that one .

I bought the Wisp tonight but didn’t bother using my $5Q, just used the BOGO. I didn’t want beepage and confusion ensuing right after it

I bought the regular minty LipSyl when it first appeared in the ESR book and they gave me the rebate for it even though it only says Honey Berry on the list. I’m assuming that’s why the Honey Berry is always sold out, because everyone thinks they have to buy that one.

4-$2Q for dove (decided I want the dove shirt)
$2Q for genesis wipes
.75Q for crossaction (did not receive rr)
3-$2Q for wags ibuprofen
$5/$25
Total=$22.41
received $15 in rr’s
will receive at least $5.99 rebate(+10%)
not bad!
would have been sweeter to get the crossaction rr, but I’m not complaining!

You don’t check the boxes just scroll to the bottom of the check the box page and click enter reciepts then it will go to the next page and enter you reciepts. And yes they are working I bought Lypsyl the other after confirming with CS and it has already been shown up on my Oct. rebates summary. Don’t know if orginal will work try entering it ….if it doesn’t show up after 5 days return it. Kim S. (we have alot of Kims here so thats how I am gonna sign from now on!)

So yah I had a bunch better go around! I called my fav walgreens and talked to my fav manager and *pooff* he agreed to let me have the Scrubbing Bubbles Auto Shower cleaner for $19.99! So I got:
The Shower Cleaner- $19.99
(7) 32oz Powerades
(2) Gillette for Man Shampoo
(1) Nivea for Men Bodywash
(2) Johnson’s & Johnson’s baby shampoo (trial size)
(1) Trial size baby powder
Total before coupons: $46.98

Used Coupons:
$10.00 Scrubbing Bubbles Auto Shower Cleaner
Walgreens 7 day coupon for $.50 off Powerade (x7)
$3/3 Johnsons and Johnsons Baby Products
$2/1 Gillette for men shampoo (x2)
AND the $5/25 coupon for a grand total of: $24.18
Used $21.48 on GC from Sept ESC
$2.24 OOP

I’ll get $19.99 in Rebate!
Yeah! A much better trip. I was going to get the Chemistry but my husband really likes Powerade so i figued I would get it on Military Tuesday next week along with the BOGO L’Oreal Rivitalift.

I use my mom’s address and mine to get double rebates and I realized that I had everything on the same receipt and I already claimed the Nivea on mine and the Gillette on hers sooo….it won’t let me use the same receipt on 2 different rebate accounts so i had to choose one or the other and I would rather have the Gillette Manpoo.

@Ana M: I have never returned an item when there’s a $5Q involved. I guess it depends on whether the Manager notices that you used a $5Q with the purchase.
