It’s Tuesday so it’s time to give THANKS!
This week, it’s another Scrubbing Bubbles item that I wanted to rave about and also give thanks to Walgreens for giving it to me for very cheap.
It’s the Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber! I decided to try it out this past weekend and give it a big tick of approval. I love the smell because it’s not too overpowering. I love the ease in which you can use this time – the handle is easy to grip and so comfy spongy. I used the one pad to clean our whole shower and tub and the suds were still there long after I had finished scrubbing everything!
Want another review? Check out Bargain Briana’s review of the Action Scrubber here. While you’re there, read her review of the BioInfusion Shampoo that was a FAR item for August. I haven’t used the BioInfusion products yet.

I have really been enjoying the Revatalift that was a FAR item in Sept. I hope to snag some of the Revatalift Face Cleanser thats a FAR item this month and then I have a nice, free skin care plan! Hopefully I will see a few less wrinkles soon!

It has been awhile but when Crest Pro Health came out, we LOVED it. I wouldn’t have tried if I hadn’t gotten it for free! Now we are addicted to it!
I had been trying with no luck to get my husband away from AIM. We finally found something GOOD to replace the cheap stuff! But now we get it cheaper than we used to buy AIM.
His main problem with other toothpaste was the overwhelming flavor. Crest Pro Health is just the right flavor for him. It makes our teeth feel really clean too!
Do I sound like a commercial?
Thanks for the link love too!
I love my Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber! Wasn’t there a MIR in a recent coupon insert?
Biofusion is in the Easy Saver Catalog again! No thanks!

@Kim: All these skin care items are going to last us all a while. I love it!
@Briana: I’m scared about the BioInfusion after reading your review
I didn’t really like the FREE L’Oreal Vive I got 4 bottles of and that’s a name brand. I do love Dove Shampoo though.

I love everything about Walgreens, I don’t know how they do it to stay in business and give away so much free stuff! I’m super looking forward to my shopping trip today because the Walgreens in my town offers 15% off to military personel on Tuesdays so I’ve been holding off on the sales until today. When I first started couponing all I ever heard was people raving about CVS, but I rave about Walgreens, they ROCK!
Briana: I agree about the Biofusion, I got it FAR and tried it, yuck it made my hair dry, I thought it was just me happy to know everyone else experienced the same problems!

@Patricia – I actually liked the Pro Vive and Garnier I got this week. Any shampoo I don’t like usually goes to the kids bathroom. But the Biofusion was so icky, I couldn’t even do that to them!!!! LOL!!!

I have a question and I am hoping someone here knows the answer. I haven’t turned in my Sept. rebate yet because I can’t decide if I want it on a gift card or not. I have $66 coming to me or $72 if I do the gift card. Thats ALOT of money to have on a WAGS gift card! So my question is could I use the gift card to buy other gift cards? IE those ones that are for restaurants and I tunes and stuff like that? I am thinking I could use them for Christmas presents and such. Anyone?

@Ana M: I first heard about couponing because somebody I knew online was raving on about CVS. But, unfortunately, the CVS in my town closed months before we moved here. So I missed that boat. So I guess, I had no choice but to love Walgreens – which I do. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on too much without having a CVS – though I’m sure it’d be nice to have 2 choices. Oh well, maybe one day.
As far as how they stay in business, they’re at least reimbursed for all the coupons we’re using so they’re not losing out on that. Not sure if they get reimbursed for those IVC Q’s though – does anyone know? They say ManQ on them and it’s probably another way Manufacturer’s try to boost their business.
@Briana: Glad you showed mercy towards your kids
It must really be that bad! I will add it to my donation box.
My main thing with the Vive was I found it too moisturizing – I found it made my hair oilier than normal. I still have 3/4 of a bottle so I will persevere after the Dove finishes.
@Kim: I just checked my GC and nowhere on it does it say that I cannot buy a GC with it. The Rebate GC you get is different from the regular GCs you can buy at Walgreens so it’s “special”. I suggest call Walgreens to be sure – but as far as I can see on my card, nothing saying that you can use it for that.

I love the Action Scrubber too! Cleaning my tub/shower is my least favorite chore and this product made it almost fun. Cleaning – enjoyable? Yes, it is possible.
Quote
@Laura: Haha. Yeah, Cleaning has becoming enjoyable thanks to some of the Walgreens goodies we’ve acquired recently.

Scrubbing bubbles automatic cleaner(SBAC) Does it really work? Do I have to clean my bathtub really well right before I put SBAC in use and it will perform like in maintenance mode? Or should I just put it on, let it work and see in 14 days, as it says in a manual? Any expirience, please?

I ladies I just thought I would share my Walgreens shopping trip I did today. Here’s my break down on what I got:
2- packs of 6 Big rolls = 12 reg Rolls of Charmin TP
4- bottles of Febreze Air Effects
3- 12 Packs of Diet Dr. Pepper
4- 18 oz Quaker 1 minute Oats
5- Packs of Trident White (12 pieces/pack)
2- Gillette for Men Shampoo
1- Oral B toothbrush
1- L’Oreal Facial Clenser
Total before coupons & discounts: $58.25
After 15% off Tuesdays Military Discount & Coupons:
.25 off Charmin (x2) Plus 7 day coupon for 3/$10
1.00 off Febreze Air Effects (x4)
.50 off Quaker Oats (x4)
.55 off Trident White (x4) Plus BOGO 7 day coupon, I had to pay full price for 1 because it was a filler item.
2.00 Gillette Shampoo (x2)
.75 off Oral B toothbrush
1.00 off L’Oreal Facial Cleanser
Plus I used Register Reward from the Oral B towards the Febreze Register Reward which I used towards the Dr. Pepper Register Reward which I used for everything else. (I had a total of 4 transactions)
Total after discount & coupons: $25.00 which I paid for off my Sept. rebate Gift card. And I will be receiving $11.99 in Rebates!
YEAH! I could have gone without the Dr. Peppers but my husband HAD to have them! Wasn’t a bad price but kind of threw off my get everything free idea, but still a great shopping trip!
Did I do the best I could ladies or did I forget something? Let me know!
I LOVE WALGREENS!

scrubbing bubbles put the action scrubber free after rebate. it was in smart source i think about 2 weeks ago. did you get it? I havent tried mine yet, with all the Walgreens shopping who has time to scrub the tub? haha
@ Ana- the reason places can take a hit, is because we freebee, coupon clipping mama’s make up a very small percentage. i think i saw the stats that about 130 Billion worth of dollars in coupons printed last year never were used (to me thats just sick–give it to me!!) and only about 8-9% of people regularly clip coupons. manufactuerers write it off as advertising expense, and places like Walgreens draw most people into their store on a loss leader. The majority of people once in the store to get the free or cheap item will end up buying all their other items at an inflated price. How we save, is the ability to say no and wait for the deal.
Quote
@Erin – Very good points about how they can afford to do this! I know even though I’m mostly a coupon shopper, there are times when I picked something up not on my list or I will need something that isn’t on sale and pick it up at the stores I’m doing my coupon shopping at! So they make some money that way! I also read an article about how coupons are also advertising for the manufacturer’s! Plus, Walgreens & CVS make moola off their prescriptions! They aren’t hurting and not everyone will do what we are doing even if the deal is right in front of their face!
